Mark T. Montgomery, M.D.

A graduate of Princeton University, Mark T. Montgomery, M.D. received his medical training at Columbia University Medical School. Following residency training in Orthopedic Surgery at the New York Orthopedic Hospital/Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center in New York City, he completed a fellowship in hand and upper extremity surgery at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Montgomery is certified in advanced microsurgery. He is Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery, has a Certificate of added Qualification in Hand Surgery, and is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, and the American Society for Surgery of the Hand.

While at Harvard, Dr. Montgomery was a clinical instructor in the department of Orthopedic Surgery. He worked primarily at Boston Children's Hospital, which is one of the nation's premier pediatric referral centers, and at Brigham and Women's Hospital, which is renowned in the treatment of arthritis. In addition to patient care, his responsibilities included resident teaching and medical research.

Dr. Montgomery earned numerous awards throughout his training and has presented papers to the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the Eastern Orthopedic Association, and the American Society for Surgery of the Hand. He has published articles in Clinical Orthopedics, Current Opinions in Orthopedics, and Complications in Orthopedics.

His special areas of interest include rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis, joint replacement, carpal tunnel syndrome and arthroscopy of the wrist, elbow and shoulder.
